The engine light of my customers hyundai Elantra 2000 came on. It says there is a miss fire in cylinder 3. My customers just replaced the crankshaft position sensor and it was running fine for about a week LAUNCH X431 HD. Someone said my customers should replace my customers spark plugs. My customers is not exactly sure where they are located on the Elantra.

Spark Plug Location - 2000 Elantra

I've replaced my own recently, you'll need to remove the cover that runs across the top of the engine, ~ 6 bolts as I recall. Plugs are WAY down inside, you'll need an extension for sure to reach. Special plug wires too ($!) Problem I had was either the spark plug adapter was too loose and the plug would fall out on the way up & out, or too tight wherein I couldn't get it to release after installing new plug. Resolved by using "too loose" adapter (w/tape inside for install) and a large pair of curved needle nose pliers to grab top of plug once unscrewed from the head. Hope this helps...
