The radio wod turn on and off for 10 or 20 minutes after starting up for the first time in a day. It seemed like a loose wire harness but it would fix itself after driving for a while. I thought it may be a bad fuse. It wasn't. Wondering if anyone else has this issue. Try this before replacing the stock radio.

Pull the knob on the left side outward as hard as you can. It might turn on if it shut itself off. I tugged mine outward pretty hard and pushed upwards and the radio turned on. It went off when I released.

I pulled on it again harder. It turned on. It hasn't turned itself off and on like this sense.

Pretty dumb the knob needs pulled or else the radio turns itself on and off, and when it's off you can't turn it back on till it turns on itself.

Just putting it out there in case anyone googles the problem and needs a fix

Pushing it in does turn it on/off which makes me wonder if there is a bad contact inside your radio and pulling it helps to put space between the contacts keeping vibration from turning it on/off.
Pushing the knob after the radio shuts off itself does not turn it back on. I can push it 100 times and nothing.

It will go on/off while the cars idle. Although it feels like sometimes if I just barely hit the gas it'll shut off or if I brake a little it turns off if on.

But what would make it fix itself. I drive for 10ish minutes and it just starts working fine. I mean, it's fixed now I hope for good.

Even if I just turn on the power, not engine it'll do this. So nothing vibrates at all causing it to malfunction.

I’m having the same problem with 2010 elantra and have no clue how to fix it.
