List things you like/dislike about the Elantra Sedan here:

I've only had my new car a few days (2013 Hyundai Elantra Sedan Limited).. so I might add to this list later.

Two things I don't like:
1. The stereo systems is NOT the greatest. The controls are fine. It's just the speakers and sound quality that seems a bit weak.
2. The car lacks an alert when you leave your headlights on after parking and exiting the car. Good chance I'll drain the battery eventually.

The list of things I love is too long to write, so I'll just stick with the complaints for now. haha
Never noticed that there is no alert for leaving the headlights on. Seems like a feature on every car ever.. Why would it not be on the Elantra?

My salesman told me that would not happen......because the lights shut themselves off in a minute or so and that's why there is no alarm.
I haven't had a chance to try it yet though.

What I don't like so far:
Road noise/tire noise. It's not just the one I got either. I test drove 3 and they all did it.
Squeaky/ rattling door?

I have a 2013 hyundai elantra gls, Complaint: when some songs come on i can hear a rattle in the door right next to my left ear while im driving Also Torque is low. Anyone know how to possibly fix this small rattle in the door?

Take it to the dealer and have them fix it......and your squeeking door too.

Or am I not correct in assuming that it is still under warranty ??

Your lights don't turn off automatically? If I leave the light switch on, they turn off anyway. Kind of cool actually, cause when I go to unlock my car with the remote, the lights turn on... great safety feature.

Two things, in the trip computer options screen, you can turn headlight delay off if you are worried about battery drain...

And I'm with you on the road noise!! Although on newer smooth roads, the noise is minmal... so maybe a different tire will fix that problem?

Yes, the consensus seems to be that the tires are more than half the problem.

Mine is pretty basic. I don't think it has any "trip computer options". ;)
Likes:
The way it looks - it only looks expensive
The manual transmission - I just enjoy driving MTs.
MPG - currently getting around 35 to 37 MPG

Dislikes:
DRL is confusing - light switch says DRL Off, but no "On" position; only to find I have to switch the parking lights on for DRL to work.
Need more HP - I want to feel a little g-force. Who am I fooling, it's powerful enough for me. I just want more bragging rights.
Road noise - if it was engine roar, then I wouldn't mind so much.
I basically love the Elantra Limited with tech package. My wife would suggest that the front passenger seat have a height adjustment on it. She is short and feels like she is riding on the floor. Even a manual height adjustment would work. The driver seat is powered and adjust many was so the driver seat is not a problem. The car is feature rich of so many nice touches.

unfortunately a lot of cars in the Elantra's segment doesn't have an adjustment like that, a lot of the luxury cars have it though. But seeing how HYundai is a brand that does things differently and right, it could be a future add-on

Our Elantra GT has seat height adjustment on it plus all the typical adjustments and lumbar. Maybe that was a carry over from the i30 the GT is based off of?

The 09 Corolla I owned had a manual seat height adjustment also.
2013 Elantra GT / Style / Tech package

Traded in my 2012 Marathon Blue Veloster w/ style Pkg and got the 2013 Elantra GT / Tech / Style Pkg. What an amazing car - has the full sunroof like the V but more headroom in the back seat. The covers for the moon roof slides in both directions..I was amazed by how better the acceleration was. and all of the other creature features make it a good deal for me. By the time we got all of the rebates and whatever the did the payment stayed the same and it cost nothing out of my pocket - took the Gap Insurance and upgraded the bumper 2 bumper to 7yrs 100k.

Bought it @ South Point Hyundai in Austin TX :D
Dudley
Upon delivery my Elantra Limited also had a lot of road noise. I checked tire pressure and found it at 50 PSI!!! Way too high. I lowered all four tires to 36 PSA (recommended is 32 PSI but I felt that was just too low for my taste.) Well the road noise is greatly reduced and it is now at an acceptable level.
