Quick question. I have the stock radio in my 2011 hyundai elantra gls.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/2011-2013-Hyundai-Elantra-Radio-CD-Player-AM-FM-Satellite-OEM-/231120520488?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item35cfdb4528
i want to replace it with this navigation system

Is this a quick and easy swap or is there any changes i would have to make?
Any help is very appreciated.

The Navigation System has an External Amplifier. Mounted in the trunk. Don't know if it will be able to power the Speakers without it?? It may not have an internal amplifier like the base unit.

You'll have extra plug for the Rear Camera. GPS I believe is routed through the same Antenna as the XM.

i just purchased a nav radio from ebay. im going to undergo the same swap, except using an aftermarket amplifier. the H/U audio output will go directly into the amp. is there any info floating around the forum as far as wiring schematics go? i would like to see what wiring is going where before i go about tearing into my car.

I Imagine the Wire Colors would be the Same from behind the radio into the amp. If you could find a wiring adapter for aftermarket stereo. Use that as a guide. The Wiring Diag I have is not 100% correct. The Coupe has a Yellow Wire on one of the rears. Its not mentioned in the Diagram.

Here is the Question. Are they Speaker Level Outputs? Or Low Level (RCA) coming from the radio?

Has anyone completed this swap? i'm trying to do it now. When I bought 2013 Elantra GT, I installed Compass-NAV--and I installed OEM backup camera with the Compass-NAV. It has worked well for 6 years; but now the screen has gone bad. Seem Compass-NAV is no longer in business, so I can't buy a replacement screen.

I bout a NAV head unit from ebay. I need pinouts for the nov-NAV and the NAV head units. Also, need to know if I need to swap the Telematics module (the module above the radio head unit.

I would appreciate any information.

Thanks,
Brent

I have a 2013 Elantra which had the non-NAV radio. I purchased a NAV radio from eBay. When it arrived, I found the wiring harnesses were very different, and at the time, I was unable to find the wiring diagrams online to find out how to reconnect them correctly, so I sent it back and decided to go with an aftermarket touch screen radio that runs Android.
