My 2017 Elantra takes an awful long time to warm up (5 minutes or more) in winter. My 2017 (since totaled) warmed up much faster as does my wife's 2005.

Any thoughts?

make sure your not low on coolant in the reservoir and radiator. Do not open when hot. If coolant is low in radiator looks for leaks. I had a bad radiator cap that caused my coolant to leak out.

I have (more or less) the same problem with my 2018 Elantra SE.

I purchased the car new and it has always been like that.

It's a problem that I can live with, especially since I am quite pleased with almost every other aspect of the vehicle's performance. So I consider it to be a minor nuisance only.

However, if there is a solution I would certainly like to hear about it.

Have you found a fix for this problem?

I would think my problem is similar and I just started a discussion about it titled "2018 Elantra Heater Issues" if you want to check it out. I'm surprised what Hyundai said and I am gonna take it on up the ladder. BTW - New to the forum
