I bought my 2018 Elantra used last year. It came with only one remote fob and one ignition key. I was able to have backup ignition keys made but I'd like a backup key fob. I can buy the fob cheap enough but I'm having a challenge locating an OBD programmer to program the new fob. My local Hyundai dealer will sell me a new fob and program it for me for $104. How much can I expect to pay for an OBD programmer? Where can I find one to purchase? Should I just pay Hyundai the $$ and have it done?

My wife's key fob died completely on her 3 months ago. I ordered one from Ebay at wholesale remotes and keys | eBay Stores. They sell used fobs that still work, but you have to get it programmed. Try someone like Pop A Lock or search for an automotive locksmith that reprograms them. The locksmith has to connect the computer to allow it to recognize the new fob. Pop A Lock charged me 75USD for the reprogramming, cheaper than the dealership.

I also have bought the blanks online but not finding the right locksmith expert to cut and program it, any suggestions?
Locksmith I can't help with but I bought a remote & OBD programmer on Amazon for $60 and programmed both of my new remotes - car came with none. Check what years it works with but I think they make one, different model number, for the newer cars.
