Hi all,
I have a Hyundai Elantra with a no start / crank condition. I checked the fuses, tested the starter relay, the constant 12 V going to the starter and all of that was performing in the proper way. All of the instrument lights, dome head and tail lights were all working with key in on position. The battery was at somewhere in the 80% area. After checking all of those I figured that there weren't very many things that could be wrong, so I ordered a starter. After hours of frustration because human hands definitely weren't designed to fit in there every thing was buttoned up. I got in the car and nothing! I finally at this point tested the original starter and wouldn't you know it the original ran like a freaking top! Before I even removed the original one I had put a spade clip on the solenoid and touched a wire onto the + batt terminal and nothing ( maybe I should have stated this in the diagnosis section ) ( oh in the early stages tried to jump start ) But I also tried the control wire directly to the solenoid in the new one and nothing again. None of that makes any sense. In diagnosis there's not anything to my knowledge that could be done and the problem makes 0 sense! PLEASE HELP ME OUT!!!!! I'm a single father and I'm on a fixed income and can't afford to take my car to a repair shop!
