I'm a fan of Pioneer. I had their din in my civic years ago. Might do the same for the elantra.
Very true, these days most factory headunits have all the functions needed, many of which you stated. At least the majority of Elantra owners will be pleased with the headunit without reason for an upgrade. The problem nowadays is that so much is built into the headunit already; ipod, bluetooth, steering wheel controls, etc there isn't a whole lot of reason to put in something different except maybe more control or Navigation/Backup camera
I have seen some double din head units that look very "stealthy". Big screen and no big knobs or buttons that stick out like a sore thumb. The buttons are small but stealthy-looking..... and doesn't look like the head units you find at best buy!My only problem with changing the factory head unit is the look. I want something that is aesthetically pleasing and doesn't look I went to Best Buy and picked something out from the wall. I also don't want to lose the use of my steering wheel buttons.
