The 2012 Canadian Car of the Year. The 2012 North American Car of the Year. AJAC’s Best New Small Car (over $21k). When you consider everything the well-appointed, beautifully designed Elantra has to offer, one word comes to mind: Bullseye.
Take safety for instance. Six airbags, 4-wheel disc brakes, ABS brakes, and Electronic Stability Control come standard on all models. Performance is covered too. With a lightweight 4-cylinder engine, the Nu DOHC, 16-valve design delivers exceptional fuel economy while still packing an impressive 148 hp. Then there are the features you’d normally find in a luxury vehicle like an available 7" navigation system, proximity key entry with electronic push button start, and heated rear seats. Simply put, it’s time to raise your expectations.
Im not surprise that the Elantra is getting alot of praises, the price and for what it is. Pretty impressive coming from Hyundai if you ask me. It took them a decade to bump up the Elantra though.
To be honest Hyundai never really impressed me, but now seeing the path they are on. Is not long till they are the new Honda of the decade. I never considered Hyundai until now and its not only the Elantra that impressed me as well, im talking about their whole fleet.
