Hyundai released two teaser images previewing the styling of its updated Elantra.
When the Korean automaker unveils its refreshed compact, it is expected to follow in style closely to the current Azera with front an rear fascia modifications. Interior revisions are also likely. Hyundai hasn’t made an official announcement yet, but the debut will likely happen during the L.A. Auto Show in late November.
Apart from interior and exterior style changes, the car could also receive new engines. The brand currently offers a single engine: a 1.8-liter four-cylinder with 148 hp. But the closely-related Kia Forte debuted for the 2014 model year with the same 1.8-liter engine along with a 201-hp 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder. Hyundai could broaden appeal for its compact sedan and hatchback by offering the more powerful engine option as well.
A user on enthusiast forum Hyundai-Forums.com spotted a refreshed Elantra with the front and rear camouflaged late last month. The clip below shows the car.
