Hyundai has just taken the wraps off of the Elantra Coupe
zombie survival machine at San Diego’s Comic-Con, and it looks ready for anything anyone -living or dead- could throw at it.
The car came together as a celebration of the 100th issue of The Walking Dead comic. It was designed by the creator and writer of the series, Robert Kirkman, and put together by Design Craft Fabrication.
A huge front-end custom zombie plow with spikes sits on the front of the car as a primary weapon, while spikes jutting out from the rims also add some side cutting power. For defense, the car offers front and rear floodlights, armored window coverings, a roof-hatch to pop up from and shoot, as well as a CB radio for constant contact.
“Our custom Elantra Coupe Zombie Survival Machine is the ultimate car for The Walking Dead fans and anyone who wants to survive a zombie invasion,” said Steve Shannon, the vice president of marketing at Hyundai Motor America.
