I will be getting a 2023 Elantra in the next week or 2.
So not familiar with all the gadgets on it !
On my truck forums many have had issue's with the OEM GPS !
With GPS?Radio Updates and other issues !
On the Elantra any bugs on Updating Maps ?
The GPS/ Radio turning into a paper weight ?
How god is it for directions ?
As good as the Garmin's ???


Do all Models have auto stop function ?
If so can they be disabled ? I am looking at a 2023 Elantra with Convenience package !
Did not see any info on window sticker

Can't comment on the GPS, but the auto start stop function is there and it sucks. Every mechanic will tell you that engine wear is greatest on start up, so you can imagine what happens to the engine (not to mention the starter) in stop and go city traffic.

There is a defeat button that will shut off auto start stop for that session's driving. You just have to remember to press it after you first start the car. Try to get into the habit just like buckling your seat belt.

On the Ford Fusion there was a popular aftermarket software patch that could permanently shut down auto start stop, but my dealership said that would void the warranty.

My sister is looking at a new Elantra SEL, too. Will check out the local inventory this week.

My dealer has a lot of inventory compared a few months ago !
But color selection is small!
A lot of Gray, 2 Red 1 Black,1 White 1 Blue the Silver one is gone !
Bummer is I liked that Silver lol
So will see if any new colors show up in the next week or two
That on/off really sucks bummer you have to shut off each time you start up :O
Hopefully someone figures out how to shut it off all the time

I've started a thread asking if someone knows a permanent defeat for auto start-stop. Let's hope someone responds.
