Hi all. I have a 2021 Elantra with about 12,500 miles. Starting this morning after driving the car for about a minute or so, I got all these alerts on the dash: "Check forward safety system, check lane assist system, check high beam assist, and check driver attention warning." I have an appointment at a dealer to look at it in a few weeks. Anyone else experience this? Thanks.

I have a 2021 Elantra and mine started throwing up the same alerts along with the (AEB) warning light, (EPS) Electric steering warning light and the Master warning light. I had 45,223 miles on it when it started doing this. All I did was drive to the store I was in the store for about 10 min's came back out and all those light's were on and it was telling me to check the same systems yours did. I had an appointment at the dealership that day for an oil change and I called them and told them what the car was doing and they told me to bring it in and they would put the scanner on it and check for codes. (oh by the way my steering was very very stiff as well like an old car before power steering was invented!) I went out and started my car to take it to the dealership and wouldn't you know it was acting NORMAL!! and when they checked it out at the dealership they said that it did not have any stored codes and they could not find anything wrong with it. They did do a software update and the light's have not come back on yet ( KNOCK ON WOOD!!) But today when I went out and started it at work on my lunch break it said "Check lane departure system". Did you ever find out what was causing your issues? Please let me know if you would. I want to try to get mine fixed under warranty if I can

My 2021 Elantra SEL with only 10k mi threw up those same safety alerts a couple days ago when I came back out from running an errand and started the car. Power steering was disabled as well. It was on a Sunday so couldn't call the dealership. Was able to drive home with no problems other than it steering like a truck, and planned to call the dealership yesterday morning before going to work. Started the car in the morning to check it out, and all alerts were gone, power steering was back as if nothing ever happened. Drove to work and back with no issues. Very odd. BTW, when the alerts were present on Sunday, I checked the MyHyundai app and there was a notification that something was amiss with the vehicle and gave me four different DTC codes. When I checked the app yesterday morning, the notification was gone and the car started without all the alerts, again as if nothing ever happened. My second free scheduled maintenance of the 'free three year maintenance' is due, so set up an appointment for next week, at which time I'll speak to the service manager about this strange occurrence.

For those experiencing this issue... Did you try turning the car off and restarting? This sounds very much like software that failed to launch correctly. Not at all sure, just a thought. Might help with diagnosis.
Yes, tried restarting several times. Maintenance schedules are placed into the software, and I received a notification both on the vehicle display and via email a few months ago for the 6 month maintenance due, according to my area. However, I discovered during the first year of the lease that the three year free maintenance Hyundai is pushing is only performed ONCE per year, not every 6 months...even though I live in what's considered a high risk area requiring maintenance every 6 months. I called Hyundai USA directly and was told yes, the three year free maintenance is performed only once per year no matter what, and only oil/filter change and tire rotation is included. Doesn't matter what the onboard maintenance notifications say. I have yet to get the second 'free' maintenance done which I've scheduled for next week, so getting back to the issue at hand, I'm wondering if my non-response to the maintenance notifications in the car's system could have triggered the safety check issue.?? When maintenance is performed, does the dealership reset the maintenance notifications? Definitely something I'll discuss with the service manager next week. Since Hyundai offers three years free maintenance, why in the world wouldn't they stick to their own required maintenance schedule based on location! Particularly on a lease, it's to their benefit to maintain THEIR vehicle according to what it says in the maintenance schedule. Makes no sense other than saving money and passing on a vehicle that hasn't been maintained properly.to another customer.
