Hey everyone. I’m new here, and I hope I put this in the right area.
I’ve got a 2007 Elantra SE, 195k miles, and I keep getting a check engine light on with the code P0455, gross evap leak.
I’ve done everything I can think of to fix it. Replaced my gas cap with one from the junkyard. Replaced that gas cap with an aftermarket one. Replaced that one with one directly from Hyundai. Changed my purge valve. Changed my vent control valve. Changed both upstream and downstream o2 sensors. I’m just self taught mechanic, so I took it to a shop to see if I messed anything up or if they could figure it out. They did 3 smog tests and couldn’t find a leak. They want another $1,000 and for me to leave it with their master tech for a week so he can diagnose it. Which does not work for me financially. Has anyone else had a similar issue? I’m wondering if it’s the ecm/ecu. Any advice you have is greatly appreciated!!!
