My 2021 Elantra SEL has fewer than 3k miles on it. Today I started it and multiple systems started sequentially alarming. Collision avoidance, lane departure, etc. Also, the steering was no longer assisted and I had to crank hard with both hands to steer. Tried backing out, then parked it as it was clearly unsafe to drive. Diagnostics shows a bunch of SCC and LKAS sub system errors on the app but I can't find the codes on line that are showing. For example, C161187 DTC System Chassis, DTC Subsystem LKAS. Multiple restarts failed to clear the issue and the car is currently not drivable.

No, it hasn't happened again. I did take it in for a software update but they didn't think that fixed anything related. Their only guess was that my EZ Pass was too high up on the windshield and maybe caused issues with the forward camera. I'm not convinced.

I have a 2021 Elantra and mine started throwing up the same alerts along with the (AEB) warning light, (EPS) Electric steering warning light and the Master warning light. I had 45,223 miles on it when it started doing this. All I did was drive to the store I was in the store for about 10 min's came back out and all those light's were on and it was telling me to check the same systems yours did. I had an appointment at the dealership that day for an oil change and I called them and told them what the car was doing and they told me to bring it in and they would put the scanner on it and check for codes. (oh by the way my steering was very very stiff as well like an old car before power steering was invented!) I went out and started my car to take it to the dealership and wouldn't you know it was acting NORMAL!! and when they checked it out at the dealership they said that it did not have any stored codes and they could not find anything wrong with it. They did do a software update and the light's have not come back on yet ( KNOCK ON WOOD!!) But today when I went out and started it at work on my lunch break it said "Check lane departure system". Did you ever find out what was causing your issues? Please let me know if you would

I have a 2021 Sonata SEL Plus and the same error codes have been popping up periodically for the last 2 years. Dealership has no idea what's going on. I found a recall for similar models (Elantra, Kona, Santa Fe, etc) due to 'The vehicle's "fail-safe" limited-mobility drive mode may be impaired, when prompted by a transmission oil pump malfunction, which can result in a complete loss of drive power.' (Recall# 22V746000) I have my 4th appt for this issue tomorrow. After they fail to fix the issue, lemon law (in Illinois) should get me a full refund or replacement vehicle.

Same thing here with my 2021 Elantra SEL, with only 10k mi. In fact, I just joined the forum today and started a new post. No power steering, Driver Awareness System has been disabled. Like others have said, all was fine when I went to a store, came out about 10 minutes later and when I turned the car on, the display started showing 'Check this, check that....' (mostly safety related), no power steering, outside temp not displayed, and master warning triangle near bottom of screen to the right of the MPG display. But at least there's no check engine or fluids warnings. Fuel level indicator, speedometer/tach, lights are working. Was able to drive home with no problems other than stiff steering. Brakes are fine. Took it for a test drive after checking all fluids, fuses, etc and seems fine except for the stiffer steering. Held it at 70 mph for a while and was okay. It's Sunday, so couldn't call dealership. Have to work tomorrow but am off Tues, so I'll call dealership tomorrow morning, drive the 5 mi to work and back, and take it in Tues morning. Who knows, maybe it'll be mysteriously 'fixed' when I start it in the morning. :) BTW, at only 7k mi, the transmission had to be replaced on this car. So not a happy camper with Hyundai. When the lease is up next year, I'll definitely be looking elsewhere. Most likely Toyota.

UPDATE:
Service appt was just another failed attempt at fixing the issue. Error codes popped up 2 days later.
Contacted an Illinois lemon law firm who was eager to take the case, and said I'll have no problem getting a full refund for the car. Their fees will be also paid for by Hyundai.

So far, the error codes haven't returned with my vehicle (knock on wood). Thankfully I'm leasing, so I'm not 'stuck' with this car. Lease ends April 2024, so only one more year. I hope you get everything worked out in your favor and will end up with a car you can trust. Sounds like we'll both be driving Toyotas soon.

Any update would be appreciated; I have a 2021 Sonata Limited, and having want appears to be the same issue: all error lights on, power steering issues, and battery discharge warning.
