I'm thinking of getting a 2020 Elantra and would be buying aftermarket snow tires on rims with TPMS sensors.
Will the TPMS sensors on the Snow tires be automatically accepted by the car's TPMS system, or will I have to go to the dealer to get it reprogrammed?

OK. I stopped by the local dealership and spoke with the Service Mgr and was told that the 2020 Elantra would need to be reprogrammed for tires with new TPMS sensors, as would be the case with having a set of snow tires on their own wheels. the TPMS system will NOT automatically adopt the new TPMS sensors.
