I'm looking for a used car. my 2004 jetta finally **** the bed and is not even remotely close to worth fixing. after some searching I found a 2017 hyundai elantra gt from a local dealership for 11,000. it's got 48,000 miles so it's still got 52,000 miles left on the warranty and it seems to be in extremely good shape. my friend who is a "car guy" and normally buys directly from people rather than dealerships says it's too much but it's by far the best deal for a reliable car with a decent warranty I've found. this car has everything I want and need in a vehicle and I can easily afford payments on it. is it a bad deal?

48,000 is a lot of miles for a 17. I would try to negotiate it down to 9500. Average mileage annually for daily driving is 12,000 miles. The price is a little on the high side but not terrible. Dealerships mark up anyway because they have to turn some sort of a profit. Good luck.
