Headlights cause whiteout in snow

There is a shiny 'ribbon' that wraps around the bottom of the massive headlight assembly. This ribbon reflects quite a bit of light into the sky in front of the windscreen. This results in the snow being illuminated causing me disorientation. As if I was driving with my high beams on.

I'm thinking about either somehow taping over the tops of the assembly (which will look terrible), painting that interior ribbon if I can get into the light assembly), or slipping cardboard over the lights and securing it under the trunk.

Has anyone else noticed this when driving in snow?

Any other solutions?

An update on this. It's definitely a problem and the local Hyundai dealers have not heard anything about it.

I was introduced to 'headline eyebrows' which are a popular decorative custom item. In my case though I don't think they are going to block enough of the light.

I found a local vehicle wrap shop who sold me some scrap wrap called 'Scotchprint'. You can see it's a pretty cool looking carbon fibre effect.

I'm going to give this a shot, at least keep it on for the winter.

I'll post any updates.
