2010 Elantra Manual Transmission

I have a 2010 Elantra with the 5 speed manual, the car has about 34000 miles. I have noticed when I come to a complete stop, sometimes the transmission wants to go into 3rd instead of 1st. If I fiddle with the shifter and engage/disengage the clutch it will eventually go into 1st, but it is still annoying.

This is after pulling the car out of 3rd, 4th, or 5th when coming to a stop. It should naturally go into 3rd or 4th without pushing it left or right when left sitting in neutral (the shifter springs back to this center rest position in Neutral.

Anyone else had this problem. I called the service department since the car is still under warranty, the adviser said he has not heard of this issue.

Thanks in advance, and also apologies if this has been addressed elsewhere. The forum's search function was fighting me today.
