2014 Limited A/C Question
My daughter drives our 2014 Elantra Sedan Limited with 97k miles. It’s starting to get really hot here in Texas and she’s complaining about the A/C vent control mode. She does not use the auto feature. She puts the A/C on the coldest setting, with mode on face and floor and adjust air flow for comfort. She says that when she gets in the car the A/C only blows at floor for a while before blowing at the face. I get in the car and switch the mode all through the dial and it works great. I do notice it blow at the floor at startup and not at the face. Is this normal? Even with the mode set to face only, it will blow at floor at startup.
I had a Nissan that would adjust the vent mode when turned off to prevent vehicle fogging up. This vehicle also had a mode actuator go out and I had issues with changing vent modes and it made a loud clicking noise. My Elantra is not making any noises.
