'07 elantra cylinder head replace

I'm replacing the cylinder head on my '07 elantra due to timing belt failure. The haynes manual shows the cam chain as having painted links to help align cam sprockets? My cam chain has no painted links just one brass link plate.
Does anyone have experience with this issue?
I think the manual is showing a non-cvvt engine, mine is cvvt. The replacement head didn't have the cam chain so I had to remove chain and cvvt unit from old head.

My car is '07 elantra 2.0l bcvvt cast#
