Wink P0420

Hi Everyone,

I have a Hyundai Elantra Sedan, and recently the dash engine light came on and I used OBD II reader and got code P0420.
Which means Catalyst Efficiency Below Threehold [Bank 1].
I goggled and found there are various explanation for this code.
Do I need to change the front Catalytic converter ?
Please Help.

Thanks for looking.

cat efficiency is checked by the rear O2 sensor which could possibly be giving a false reading , sadly this issue can only really be properly checked out by a dealer
