people who put H.I.D's in headlights of cars that aren't designed for them are azzh0l3'z. Without a projector your blinding every driver coming your way. Either retrofit some projectors in their for HID's or don't do it at all.

very helpful video. i already know how to install these kits as I have done them on quite a few of my cars, but I must say this guy did a really good job with the video. Not only did he show how to install the HID's but gave some helpful tips that first time HID owners would need.

I have a hard time believing that drilling out plastic pieces won't void warranty. Dealers look for any reason to deny you warranty claims.

not in the USA or Canada.

also, you might want to check your local laws. Putting HID in a reflector housing is a $180 ticket here in Ohio. It blinds the crap out of an oncoming driver.

Once our 2013 Coupe arrives I'll be ordering HIDs (6K) for our car. Xenonsupply.com.

**BEFORE YOU ORDER YOUR HID KIT...**

After all the research (and a little trial and error) here is what works with the 2013 Elantra...

35W bulbs just don't cut it and the 881 (PGJ13) base never really fits correctly in the fog light housing. The H11 base fits much better (so keep that in mind when ordering your HID kits).
I installed a 6000K HID kit using a digital CANBUS ballast. This will eliminate the flickering or the lights cutting out due to the cars computer detecting a wattage mismatch (no cancellation/warning resister kit needed as the CANBUS has it built in.)
My fog lights are awesome now! So bright and really lights up the road. The only problem now is the stock headlights look so yellow and dim compared to the HID fogs ... so not that I really care about how it looks, I am going to upgrade my headlights now because the light from the HID's make such a difference at night!

If anyone has any questions ... please feel free to ask... I think after all my trial and error and research I have become an Elantra HID expert...LOL
