2009 Elantra Block Heater

Hi everyone,

Has anyone had the issue where plugging in the block heater trips the GFCI receptacle? I can plug other cars in this location with no issues so I think it is the car.

Unless there are some other ideas, I was just going to install a new cord... which brings me to my next question.

Where does this actually attach to the engine? I see that it runs behind the engine and out of site. It is dark right now but i figured if someone can aim me in the right direction it might save me some hassle tomorrow. Does anyone have a preferred type or brand? I would hate to replace it with a cheap one and have the issue continue.

Thanks everyone!
