2014 Hyundai Elantra Facelift Revealed

Hyundai has revealed the facelifted 2014 Elantra in Korea, boasting a newly-redesigned front bumper, radiator grille, fog lights, and more.

Known as the Avante in the Korean market, the 2014 Elantra also gets an LED light guide, projection headlights, and redesigned 17-inch wheels. In the rear is a new, two-tone bumper and LED tail lights. On the inside, the Korean automaker has updated the Elantra with subtle enhancements based on customer feedback. The center air vent position has been moved upward while the front center armrest position has also been raised. Ventilation seats, a 3.5-inch OLED display, and rear seat air vents have also been added.

Compared to the previous Elantra, the facelifted 2014 model is 20 mm longer, though its wheelbase stays the same. To give it a more stable, balanced design, Hyundai extended the front bumper 5 mm and the rear bumper 15 mm. In addition, the Korean market will see the addition of a diesel variant to the Elantra lineup with a 1.6-liter featuring 126 horsepower and 206 lb-ft of torque. The diesel model equipped with an automatic transmission also comes with Hyundai’s advanced Idle Stop & Go technology.

I like what Hyundai did so far, I just wish they did more to the rear end. A mild rear diffuser would look awesome, maybe we'll see that in a future refresh?
