Smile 03' Elantra GLS needs help

Hello all,

Im new to the forum and Im hoping to meet up with some knowledgeable technicians/DIY's who may be able to help me find some answers. I am having some problems with my Elantra's engine. It is running rough at idle and sems to straighten out when at higher RPM's. I feel like I have narrowed the issue down to a blown head gasket as there are other symptoms that point to this. I am fairly mechanically inclined but know little about Hyundai Engines. If you feel like you can help me, I will gladly accept any advice that I can get.

Thank you in advance!!

Well you need to tell us what you think you want to do next.

If you want confirmation of your diagnosis, you need to provide more details.

If you want to change the gasket yourself......that probably isn't a good idea if you have no experience with things like that.

P.S. If you DO have a leaking head gasket, you probably should NOT be driving it.......as major engine damage can result if, for instance, too much water gets into the crankcase with the oil.
