New Member 2019 Elantra SEL
My name is Wayne. I live in San Diego County, CA.
I just bought an off-lease 2019 Elantra SEL. I took it to the dealer in Temecula and I was pleasantly surprised with the fast friendly service that I received. I just went in for an oil change and initial inspection. I was told that the headlights would be replaced on a recall. $40 later, I left with new headlights, oil change, inspection and a car wash. All in less than an hour, while I waited.
I'm really impressed with the quality and handling of this vehicle. I've always driven GM cars (mainly because I was a GM Service Manager for many years, now retired) and this my 1st foreign car of any kind.
I read a lot of positive things about Hyundai so we decided to try it. I was going to wait until the 2020 came out but I'm not real excited about being a guinea pig with the new CVT transmission. I was thinking of buying Honda but not only are they CVT trans but every model is turbo-charged. I am NOT interested in turbos. They are great in diesels but they put a lot of stress on these small automobile engines.
